About AdviserCheck

Key points:

Why We Exist

When a financial adviser hands you a Statement of Advice, their firm has compliance teams, review software and increasingly its own AI tools checking that document behind the scenes. You get the document and a signature line.

That imbalance is why AdviserCheck exists. Compliance checking was once available only to large firms, auditors and regulators. We bring the same level of scrutiny to the person actually receiving the advice — in plain English, in minutes, without needing any background in financial regulation.

What We Do

AdviserCheck analyses Statement of Advice (SOA), Record of Advice (ROA) and Client Advice Record (CAR) documents against the regulations that govern Australian financial advice — including FOFA, the best interests duty (s961B), appropriate advice (s961G), ASIC's RG 175 and the DBFO reforms. The check covers six layers: completeness, best interests duty, contradictions, suitability, language clarity, and fees & conflicts. Findings are verified by three independent AI models before they reach your report, so you see only what multiple models agree on.

Your first check is free — no credit card required.

Independence

Independence is the whole point of this service:

We have no interest in the outcome of your advice decision beyond helping you make it with open eyes.

Privacy by Design

Your advice document contains some of your most sensitive information. Personal identifiers are masked before analysis, your document text is deleted immediately after checking completes, and all servers, database and cache are hosted in Australia. See our Privacy Policy for detail.

Who We Are

AdviserCheck is built and maintained by a small independent Australian team with backgrounds spanning software engineering and financial services compliance. We prefer to let the work speak for itself — if you're a registered user, you can reach us directly through the app.
